Easter Egg Hunt Event!
Hiya everybody!
It's getting close to Easter and I thought I should let everyone know that The Boat Crew alliance will be hosting another Easter Egg Hunt Event this year.
It's going to work similar to last years Egg Hunt, but with a few variations. The hunt itself will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 10:00pm GMT, but I'm going to ask that everyone who wants to participate come to the Great Temple of Balthazar Int 1 at roughly 9:45pm GMT. At this time you'll be told how many "eggs" aka [boat] members you will need to find and any other rule changes that have been made.
Now to explain how it'll work. The Hunt will take place in Tyria, Cantha and Elona. There will be 7 [boat] members hiding in each continent. These [boat] members will be giving out customized items to anyone that finds them. To claim a prize you must return to the Great Temple of Balthazar with all 7 items from one of the continents and give them to one of the designated prize givers (I'll let you know who they are before the start of the event). You can obtain a maximum of 3 prizes by finding all 7 people in each area. For example, if you find everyone hiding in Tyria and Elona you can exchange all of those customized items for 2 prizes. The prize givers will each have a list of the people hiding in each continent to avoid people trying to mix items from two different areas. You may exchange your items at any time after the event begins up until 15 minutes after the Hunt (which will last 1 hour) is over.
If you've got any questions feel free to post here and ask.
I hope to see you all there!
-Mends

Right. There will be 7 members of [boat] on each continent hiding in different towns (excluding Realm of Torment, Arenas and Fire Islands). You will need to find all 7 on one continent to claim a prize

Awww...My Lord of Fiery Doom only has completed half of Prophecies, so I won't be able to take part in the event. It's still a great idea though; and good luck.

Sounds like a fun event. I'll be there... with a friend as well.
Quick question: my friend is only as far as Droknar's Forge. Will he need to get further than that to find the 7 guys in Prophecies?
Thanks for organizing a cool event... and pulling me back into GW1 (at least for one day). Looking forward to it.

I'd say your friend should try to get to Thunderhead Keep just incase someone decides to hide there, but he might be able to find everyone without getting there. I'm not sure to be honest.

Okay, I'll let him know. I doubt he'll get there in time since he only plays like 2 hours every week... but who knows.
Time to look for another friend so we can help each other out.
Or will the 7 guys be constantly moving around? Sounds like that would be even MORE fun and put everyone on even playing field that don't have a lot of friends available that weekend to help each other out! Could also solve the problem of people not getting far enough in the game.

Last year everyone ended up moving around because there were a few guilds cheating. It'll probably happen again this year, but as of right now we're planning on staying in the same place.
The problem with moving is you're right out in the open when you warp to another town, making it really easy to be found.

ARGH!!
I'd join, but it's me and my sister's birthday in RL and my family likes to hold a large party....so I can't really play GW while socializing, can I?
Anyways, good to see people making an effort to man an event, kudos to [boat].

Luckily Tyria is pretty calm nowadays, most areas having 2 districts at mose, excluding LA and a few others.
Sounds like great fun, good to see people taking holiday events into their own hands, I'll be there. I've discovered a few nooks and crannies in Tyria, and am glad to see people may be making use of them.
I'd like to know the same as Orphan - what kinds of prizes? Money? Equipment? Or perhaps little holiday items with sentimental value that annoy you on the inside when you expect something awesome.

There will only be people hiding in the International district 1. It'd be way too hard if we could hide in any district we wanted.

The hunt itself will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 10:00pm GMT
In Aussie time that's Sunday, April 8th 08:00am EST.
That is unless The God Of Metal is observing daylight savings, which would make it 7am for us.
TGOM, is the start time daylight or standard time?
